Getting started with Holistic Management is similar to this. Say you want to go on a vacation. You plan where you want to go, what you want to do when you get there, and how exactly you are going to get there. You have a back up plan in case there is a delayed flight, a road closure, or other unexpected issue. There is also a budget for the vacation, with a little wiggle room perhaps.
